Lovely snakeheads....thanks for sharing. I do wonder will the colour intensify more when they grow big or just slowly fade away? Gong Xi Fa CAi to all.

Will their colour fade or turn dull as they mature?

They are like toman snake head. Changes as they grow higger. The pattern will become more complicated as it grows. Major changes starts around 30cm.
So far I have only seen 1big channa emas at the defunct stone aquarium. The pattern is very nice. I wonder if anyone keeping them, want to share some photos of big ones. |

Their temperament when adult is just as the classic Toman?

I got myself a pleuro as comm mate recently - inspired by the video you posted. Does yours exhibit "classic toman" behavior - killing all other fishes; I assumed? LOL!
Was thinking besides pleuro, what other large snakeheads will be on the milder side of behavior. Quite keen to add another species inside as well. 😊 |
