Help! Best way to grow Biofilm and algae?

Hello
Been looking on line for ways to grow algae and biofilm to feed my shrimp and other grazers - - butterfly loach and goby (stiphodon ornatus)

So far what I've seen are people just putting rocks in an outdoor water container and wait for the algae to grow. or for biofilm glassware in a vase next to a window sill.

What is the most efficient way?
How long does it take for a decent amount to grow in?
What about mosquitos breeding in that future algae garden?

you can grow in your current tank , excessive light and extra nutrient , but hard to turn back once plague with algae

Grows like mad for me. I have a piece of drift food for my turtle. Algae grows on it very fast. Within a week or so I have fairly thriving algae. I guess the turtle food, poop and sunlight also helps.

I put my tank outside... grow lots of hair algae within a week.
If needed just use a fork n scoop it like noodle.

Add some guppys to prevent mosquito breeding

Thanks! i think maybe my two siamese algae eaters are too efficient. will see if i can catch them out and find any difference. but they really cleaned up the tank glass after i got them, however now that i have those less pig like grazers i may have to give up on those guys..

ahhh, thank you, so then do you put any fish food in the tank or do you just leave it and it grows..? coz before i had put my damanged moss ball in a small plastic tank outside but no algae came, nor did my moss ball survive...

Normally lots of lights helps in algae growth

Did you manage to grow them? Yes I do feed fish food.
It's just a bare tank with water and some guppys.
