Freshwater Moray Eel?
Hi All,
Bought 2 Moray Eels 5 days back. So far so good. In the shop had couple of wounds/body scars etc but today it has fully recovered. Peacefully hiding behind pumps etc and playing around my BD belly as my BD is huge and can fully cover it however I haven't seen them eat. Tried MP and also Live Shrimps but don't seems to feed or maybe shy. Any had experience with them? My PH is around 7-7.2 |

no experience with fw type but the salt water type need caves or pipe to hide, active when low lights and big ones are aggressive.

Should have more hiding place for these shy creature, try feeding after lights out, when they are out hunting

I saw a tankful at Seaview a couple of months ago. They might still be there.
By the way, how long has anyone kept them alive? I have the impression they are brackish water fish that won't do well in freshwater in the long run. |

I suggest if keeping, keeep in higher PH with some salt added, I can't add in much as there's rays in it. Looks like for long term, they will just die suddenly. |
