The Journey of converting Salt water Giant Grouper to Fresh water
Got this 5 buggers today. Have been spending the pass few weeks setting up their tank
Sharing this journey to see if it is possible to covert them. They are currently in fully salt environment. Size - 5-6'' Water perimeters Ammonia - 0 Salinity - 1.02 KH - 8 PH - 8.2 Will update weekly for the progress |

Bro, they can't live long after u convert them to freshwater. I tried before with damsel fish and after a month or so, they died for no apparent reason.
Maybe u should show us a photo of a hydrometer to show the salt content as u progress. Good luck in ur experiment. |

i doubt it is possible due to the fact that freshwater fishes and saltwater fishes function differently. Do update on the results

do keep us updated.. I have seen saltwater converted grouper growing quite big in cement pond..

aquarium salt are always available it doesn't hurt to add some in.. best keep them in blackish water..
