Smile Need Suggestions for Fishes to Add to 3ft Planted Tank

Hi all,

I have a 3 feet planted tank and here are its inhabitants:
- Cory (2)
- SAE (2)
- Oto (1)
- Endlers (10+)
- Betta (1 male)

The tank is still very empty so I'm thinking of adding at least another species of fish, but need suggestions on suitable species of fishes. Something that will bring out the vibrancy of the aquarium will be great.

It will also be a plus point If the new fish is friendly to shrimps, since I may put it some shrimps (which otherwise could be culled) in the future.

Thanks!

the fact that u have endlers and betta means u cant keep shrimps.
i dun think there are any shrimp-friendly fishes.
if u wana stick to purely fishes, can consider a school of rummy-nose tetras, or cardinals. if u prefer bigger fishes, can consider angels.

Hi bro Issac,

Thanks for the reply.

Hmm... I'm considering something bigger, so yes Angels will be a suitable choice. Since I'm staying in the North, will Y618 or Aquastar be a better LFS to buy them?

Also considering Discus but not sure if I will be able to manage them well.

Hi, you can consider yamato. they're quite big in size and the fish you're keeping now should be quite "yamato" safe.

Thanks, but it's not the type of shrimps I'm thinking of now actually. The shrimps that I'm thinking of putting in this tank in the future are from another shrimp tank I have. Thinking of shifting those lower grade ones over to this planted tank after selection, instead of culling them.

Looks like discus could be too much for me after all... Think I will just go search for angelfishes then

How about fast swimming schooling fishes? Get some danios.I keep leopard and pink danios. I wouldn't suggest denisoni barb thou they are nice in school but they need larger tank.

both y618 and aquastar have quite decent variety for you to choose.
