Red face Newbie need advice on RTG

Hi Guys, I bought a RTG 10 days ago Size 6'. It has not been eating. It will swim one round around the tank and parked itself at a corner with the head pointing upwards.

Currently in 5x2.5x2.5, With 5 Silver Dollar & a 4' ray.
Ph 7.5

I did: WC 20% every 2 days. add black water and salt. (starting form 5 days ago)

I have attached 2 videos showing its behavior on youtube.
(Search for: Mr Yatauaz on youtube and would be able to find, the videos are name under IMG 0481 & 0483 )

Any solutions??

Thank you so much!

Bro...if your water condition is ok, I guess 1 reason could be due to it getting familiar with its new home and tank mates. My aro did this too when I first bought.

Also, maybe you could check with the seller what is its diet? MP, sw...etc?

tail too heavy?
wat is the size of ur SD? ur 6" aro is not used to the big 5" tank yet. and may be spooked by ur fast swimming SDs.
u can try leaving a night light on 24/7 for a few days to assist it to be more comfortable in ur tank.

Bro think your aro is not used to be in such a big tank...U can try lowering the water level to half and leave the lights on 24/7 for a few days as Bro issacyeo suggest...

hi there

1. bro, from the clip your rtg looks alright but probably, a little stressed up.
2. in a new environment.
3. maintain good water parameters.
4. it should turn out fine.
5. good looking rtg too.

It looks ok to me.
Give it some time to settle down.
If not, you may try some cricket lor.

Bro, noticed alot of bubbles on your water surface. Is this distracting his attention?

My aro also sometimes like to remain stagnant like yours after shifted to a new and bigger home. It is eating well and no sickness. I just let it be. After a while, it will settled down by itself.
