Humble automation of acclimatization process

Hi,

I really hate to acclimatize my shrimps as need to as at home to do it for a long time. Recently i tried to automate it with my satellite box and airpump. Don't if people have done it before but just like to share. Basically the airpump will help as an assistance to drip water into the satellite box.

Hahaha 1 think do take note as your water get higher to the rim where the water start to flow back into the tank of there is a tendencies of water not mixing well as it will flow in from the in-let and towards the direction of the outlet side without even mixing well. If you really monitor closely you will see so if you want to make full use of this you will need figure out how to mix the water well

. Incase for some who is interested in this it a external hang on breeder box (satelite) come in size of S,M,L

Also, the flow can be erratic. You have to observe it a while to let it stabilise. Otherwise it will either be no water in or too much water in at one time.

I use IV drip tube

easier to control drip per second.

Wouldn't the water from the LFS in the shrimp bag get discharged into the tank towards the end of the process if you're not there to stop it in time?

I prefer to drip from an airhose into a tub placed in a large pail overnight and then go to bed.
It'll overflow the tub and the shrimps will be in the pail but it'll not overflow onto the floor.
I'll then "bathe" the shrimps in clean tank water before releasing them into the tank

"It'll then "bathe'' the shrimps in clean tank water" seems to be is like the water from LFS in the shrimp bag is really that bad, very scary.

I usually won't recommend putting outside source water into the tank unless really trusted.

Usually will use the drip method and then scoop the shrimps into the tank and discard the water. Top up the tank with age water after that to make up the lose during the drip.
