Default Area heavily exposed to strong sunlight

Can still keep a 2ft shrimp tank with bare bottom, but will have driftwood and plants....?

depends what shrimps you want to keep.
soil is recommanded so that the shrimps will not be too stress.
if keeping cherries etc, best is install a fan to keep temperature at bay.

if crs then u need a chiller.

Without soil to buffer, you may need to pay more attention to your water parameters eg pH level, since the soil are used for buffering the pH level for the comfort of the shrimps.

Exposed to strong sunlight means the water temp will be higher.
Shrimps prefer to live in cooler waters.

Sorry to clarify tank is exposed to strong light but not directly under sun so temperature will not fluctuate too much but always trouble by green water... so still suitable for shrimp keeping? If still prefer bare bottom, which species is suitable?

I believe cherry shrimps are one of the hardiest species which you can consider.
However, it would be better to have at least a fan

Red face

Bro red cherry is very suitable
mine also in similar condition as yours but not bare bottom.
Instead hv lots of coral chips to stabilise the ph at 6.5ph
Temperature is semi outdoor condition without chiller nor fan
so far very successful with red cherry shrimplets everywhere.
However crs&bds high dead count,so avoid those species if no chiller
(I tried because I want to see if remaining crs/bds can breed the next generation do away with cooler temp condition!)
