Default Can shrimp stay alive without filter and pump ?

Hi, my gf would like to keep 1 small tank in her office with only 2 shrimps.
can it happen ?

Yes possible. Get the hardier ones like Yamato. But our tap water will kill it if not treated.

The answer is yes. I seen somebody successfully breed crs in this condition which indeed shock me. No aeration and filter. Just tank and Pelia moss in air con office all day. Even no water change but just water top up. No soil even, just some small stone in the bottom of the tank. This is true fact so believe it or not is up to you.

wow that sure open my eyes or is crs nowadays very hardy??

Yes, possible, i done that before. But tank best not too small, otherwise parameters fluctuate very easily.

It depend on how dense you want to keep them and also some people call this:

Thought some time back an indo breeder bro shared his fts, bare tank with tankful of crs of the latter type. So inspirational and at least we know it has been, and can be, done.
