Default A new hobby

Hi all, after reading everyone's experience in the forum, i finally took the plunge with 10 cherries. Will only move on to the more advanced stages once i learn how to control the water parametres.

I've been combing through the threads but realised nobody really mentioned abt purchasing their livestocks from crs haven in tampines. Was just wondering if thats a good place to buy your livestocks?

They seem to also have those volcano shrimps which doesnt require wc or much attention.

it's good if you are nearby and can have a look. then you can decide if the price is correct to buy or not.. they do have nice shrimps..

Hi there,
Glad to hear about your new venture into shrimp keeping
Hope your cherries do well and breed for you in the near future

Regarding Crs Haven, their shrimps are really well kept in good conditions so yes

Can consider keeping other types when you are comfortable with Cherries.
Snowballs or Yellow Shrimps are relatively easy to keep (However,do not comm them with cherries as they might interbreed).
Crystal Red Shrimps Aka CRS will require lower temperature which can be achieved via fan or chiller

All the best !

Ya, heard and read about the lower temperature required for the crs. Wouldnt go into that just yet. They got some blue pearl shrimps which i fancy. Will hope to get my hands on them soon!

you decide where you like to buy your shrimps....

for crs, beauty is in the eye of beholder.... and price too.

i buy from hobbyists most of the time, slightly cheaper i must say....

look around and you will find.... meanwhile just be a little patient and gain some experience in keeping your cherries first. afterall their water parameters requirement are not exactly the same....
