Default Blackghost Knifefish

Hello~

I was wondering if anybody has experience keeping the blackghost knifefish? I've done some research on the fish but i was hoping that somebody with experience with the fish could help me out with stuff such as fish compatibility, diet, pH and temperature.. or just any advice in general.

Thanks!

I have a piece that i raised from 2 inch to current 10 inches.

No special care was given to him but he juz thrived in the community tank.

Mustn't have more than 1 BGK in 1 tank though.

Thanks for the reply!

So will a regular diet of bloodworms do? How big is your tank?

4 x 2

I believe most fish benefit from a regular diet of quality pellets.

I've noticed BGK fight a lot amongst themselves, even at a very small age so it's best to keep them as loners. They're pretty docile so most other tankmates will do just fine. Regular diet of FBW will do fine but as they get other, try to get them onto more nutritious foods such as MP or Pellets. I always choose pellets above everything else for my fishes.

I have mine since 2 inch as well. Kept in in my aro tank and now it's almost 12 inch. No special diet.....eat whatever remants that's left which incld pellets, mp, forozen blood worms. etc. Like other bro mentioned, do NOT keep more that one as they will fight.

Hope this helps.

I only got 1 of them this time. Although i saw a tank full of them at the shop. He's an awfully shy guy at the moment, probably not used to the environment yet. Thanks for the advice!
