Default Is it safe to use this in CRS tank?

Seachem Excel.

I bought this fissiden with hair algae.

Been reading up on how to remove hair algae and i saw this product recommended. Together with WC and less feeding, it was mentioned to clear HA. but idont wish to add chemical into the tank. Please advise.

Is yamato safe to both removing the hair algae and keeping with crs? I have an oto but i think may die soon given they are weak in acclimating.

It shouldn't cause problems. Yet, I have read many people's CRS die after using that product. I believe it isn't conclusive if they cause death... but i wouldn't risk it.
Yamato eat hair algae and they are fine with other shrimps.

Best to remove the affected fissiden and dose it somewhere else. Excel know to kill shrimp..

Yamoto is not advised to put together with other shrimp..yamoto can be very big and this makes the bully in your tank..they are known to attack molting shrimp..

if u are talking abt us fissidens i suggest u remove the hair algae manually than using excel.. because if excel is dosed directly on the fissidens it will die off (turn brown)

I try with a toothbrush and my fissiden also came off. I think it got entangled too much w the fissiden. Can this method remove 100%? Will it come back again?

You might want to reduce the light hour to just 1-2 hr per day. Also add in some frogbits. This work for me. Hope it helps
