Hi, just wana check with you guys, what will you do with your over-populated ramshorn snails?

It is too cruel to just throw them away??? I don't have any fishes to feed to btw...

Just collect them and pass them to your LFS which sell them. Or pass to anyone who are interested to get from you.

Thanks for your replies...

I remembered the LFS told me before to "take it out and throw away"..Lols.

Anyway, I think they sell only shrimps, not fishes, that's why she said.
Yeap good idea, I think I can pass on to my other LFS, so he can feed to his fishes....

Thanks.

Oh... I just gotten 8 small ramshorn snails from a friend, intended to keep it in the shrimp tank.. if this is the case, I will keep it one nice little ramshorn, otherwise, when it'll multiply, it will be hard to control.

8?? I started with 2, within a month, I got more than 10, now totally lost count, transferred the big ones to a small tank, will get the babies out from my shrimp tank tonight and give it to my LFS.

For me I breed them intentionally, I like the snails to eat up the balance food left behind from my shrimps; thus when the snails are bigger, I feed them to my Oscar. He loves these "snails snack". " One stone, 2 birds "
