Orange Tip Crayfish? Help me ID
Hello Everyone!
I am pretty new to Crayfish Keeping. So i may need some of your help. I think this is 'Orange Tip' judging from the appearance? Not so sure if it belongs to the Cherax holthuisii group. May i know the estimated price for it too? The gender as well? (Should be female right?) Currently, it is kept in a 25cm tank with corals as substrate, 2 charcoal tube hideout and 1 small plant. Compared to my cherax qual, this baby look more quiet and less destructive/aggressive. Now it sit at one corner, curl its tail and rest there. I guess it is still trying to familiarise with the new environment? When i try to pick it up, it wont react vigorously like my cherax qual, so i assume it have a very obedient personality. I dropped some jbl biotopol C and feed it with the jbl novo cray chips, may try to feed it with some frozen blood worm to see how it react. Hope it can be more active some day. So all kind crayfish hobbyist brother, hope you all can guide me along to make my cute crayfish much more opening and hope it can molt and breed in future! =) Thank you! |

Ya i know still have. but now fewer and fewer thread about crayfish, seem like more post here is about shrimps. I really hope the crawdad trend is not over yet cause most of the post i search through the search bottom are posted at 2009 . 2010 not so much, so not to say 2011. Ps: lets keep them before tsunami kills!! Haha jk
