Default Need advise on feeding when on holiday.

Hi bros,

I'm going on a vacation this CNY for 9 days.

I'm very worried for my shrimps as they will go without food for 9 days.

I'm thinking of getting a food timer, but anyone can enlighten me on how this food timer thing works? Can it feed 1 piece of mosura speacility food(cut into small pieces, feed only 1 small piece) a day for 9 days?

Also how much will it cost for a cheapest food timer as I will be only using it for this 9 day.

Cheers!

one piece of ketanpang leave will be enough for your shrimps.

Hi bro,

as in those dried ketanpang leaves people use for betta? I didn't know shrimps feast on that. Also my concern will be the tanning it will leak to my tank. Wouldn't be sightly when I come back.

By the time u come back after 9 days think is time for WC so this will reduce the tanning effect. More over which is more important to u the tanning effect of your water or your shrimp lying dead

If not just soak the piece of dried ketapang leaf in hot water for 1 hour. Then remove the leafs put into the tank.

Thanks alot bro. I'll take tinted water with happy shrimps.

Now where can I get ketanpang leave? I don't remember seeing my near by LFS having them. I'll probably buy from forumer in buy/sell forum.

Could bros here please advise me on how to introduce the leave?

1) get the leave.
2)soak in hot water for 1 hr
3) put in.

is that all or have I missed out any thing?

cheers!

Just wash the leaf a bit before soaking it into the hot water will do.
