Default My tank reading, is that safe now?

Hi all after cyclying the tank for around 1 week, my reading as follow:

Day 2:
Ammonia : 0.25
Nitrite : 0
Nitrate : 10

Day 4:
Ammonia : 0
Nitrite : 0
Nitrate : 5
PH: 6.4

Day 6:
Ammonia : 0
Nitrite : 0
Nitrate : 0
PH : 6.4
KH : 2 drops
GH : 2 drops

Is that reading safe now for intro of shrimps? By the way how to read KH n GH?

On paper, those readings looks safe. However, I'm very surprised that you can get such readings in less than a week and that you can get such precise readings as 0.25ppm for NH3 and 5ppm for nitrate.

How exactly are you cycling the tank bro? Whats the ammonia source? Any soil? And what test kits are you using?

GH and KH are usually discussed in drops, which is directly equal to the unit of measurement called German degree (dGH & dKH).
You can convert these to ppm readings if you read overseas forums/articles that provides ppm reading instead.
The test kit's instructions will tell you how to convert to ppm

Just to add, KH will always be a part of GH.
i.e KH + Other dissolved minerals = GH (total)

From your reading, this means that you have almost entirely calcium based hardness.

Some KH is good for buffering the pH but try not to exceed 4.
You may need to up your GH to at least a 4, ideal 6-8. I recommend using mosura mineral plus for that.

Best if you can have a picture of your tank, and by the way amonia zero at this stage doesn't mean it will be zero after 2 to 3 weeks, some time there will just be a spike if not careful , so best monitor few more weeks, beofre intro shrimp.

i am using API test kit and from the reading and colouring, it says 0.25. i am using Gex Red pack soil. and i am using old media for cycling the tank.

I thought so this is quite fast for cycling too, but i have follow our bro silane here during one of his post in another forum, he was using old water for cycling. so it will be faster. and i follow. shall monitor it for now n see how.
