why my gh is 8-10 how to get lesser gh
Hi...can anyone pls advice me on how to reduce water GH...now water GH is 8 to 10....best GH is 3 to 5....

possible to show us your tank (any coral chip / rocks ) and best to know what you dose (mineral plus) for your tank.

Yes agreed with bro Eviltrain, list down what is your setup, eg, soil use and other stuff as well, and best if you can provide a full tank shots will greatly let people here to give advise

sorry TS use ur thread for my tank's GH as well.. hehe..
gex 2ft.. has moss, driftwood and bogwood. filter media is volcanic media from dymax, mr aqua CR and biohome. adaII soil.. GH measured is ard 8 to 10 too.. |

your problem might be you just top up aged conditioned water. as your water evaporates, the mineral deposits in the tank remains. best if you do a water change once in a while ( 2 weeks ) with distilled water. it might helps to lower down your GH slowly to 6-8.

for my 2ft tank i didnt top up water.. i change ard 80% of water each week for this two weeks of cycling cos too
much ferts in the ada soil.. GH still that high.. |
