The price of the fish won't kill you, it's the freight charges that will burn that hole in your wallet.
Unless order in bulk, if not really not worth the try.

When you import fish, the thing that poses the largest problem is the liscence that you need. Without the liscence, your cargo will be confiscated and you risk paying a fine. So, you would have to ask a fish farm with a liscence to help you out, and normally it would charge a very expensive fee (I sought Mainland fish farm's help before, and had to pay $300). As such, you will have to buy in bulk to make-up for the cost of the liscence.

i don't think you need a license to bring in fish from overseas unless u r commercialised trader. However, there is a cap as to how many can we bring in for a hobbyist.

For more enquiries, you can always check with the AVA.

Hi,

You dont need a license if you are bringing back the fish together with you, the limit is 30 fishes in no more than 3 litres of water.

However, if you order from overseas and it is delivered to singapore, then you need a license, and in this case, there is no limit.

Now I know I'm not alone in tempted to buy from overseas.

Maybe we can do a spree like the fashion shopping spree my girlfriends always participate in.

Any brothers wanna take the lead?
