how to remove pest snails

i have read a few post in AFS, and most bro mentioned using assassin snail.
are there other ways of getting rid the pest snails? i am thinking of tearing down the entire tank setup, clean everything with hot water. will this work?

Don't think snails are a pest but they do look unsightly. If your tank is not heavily planted or stocked it may be easier to redo them. Otherwise, just draw them out bit by bit through a tube as part of WC. I noticed button snails clinched on the tank wall when the lights are off, so it will be easier to suck a handsome of them out immediately the next morning before the light is switched on again. Do it everyday and the population will reduce substantially.

bro! fastest way! but without redoing your whole tank is. add a few puffers or rams in! they are very efficient in eating away all the snails! but its not recomanded if you have shrimplet in there! as they will attack them! unless you have alot of hiding places for shrimps!

i have a few guppy inside the tank... puffer will kill them i suppoer

but how do u remove the eggs that are spawned in the moss, leafs or in the sand?

You can get a couple of assassin snails to do the job, depanding on how bad yr snails outbreak is. Cheap and effective.

Putting dwarf puffer in yr tank will be a faster way then the assassin snails but its highly not advisable is its a shrimps setup.

When I bought a plant that came with FOC snails ... it got infested too .. All i did was get a cute yellow puffer and it ate cleared the whole tank within 1 hour ..

puffers are a good way... dont worry about the eggs in the moss.. when they hatch the puffer will take them too.. should not be a problem with guppies!~ just get a small puffer will do! if you wanna prevent this from happening again.. next time when you get plants try to quarantine it for about 1-2 week to be sure! put a few puffers in the quarantine tank too.. so it will clear them off...
