Hi,

this crab is hard to breed. The young start off their lives as zoea, a form of phytoplankton, and are very small. They require salt water, and they eat small particles suspended in water. very hard to keep alive, i wish you good luck!

Does your female crab hide all day long since carrying eggs?
My crab has being hiding under the driftwood today since I found her carrying eggs last night.

It can't breed in captivity. It need to release the eggs to sea or mangrove

Yes, that behaviour is normal. When the crab is carrying eggs, it will hide more to protect the eggs from predation. It is a natural instinct. As long as you dont agitate it, it will be fine.
