Default Keeping CRS

Dear all,

Need some advise from experts here pls. My current setup has been running for about 1 year or so. I have 4 neon tetra, 10 mixture of cherries and sakuras and 3 bumble bee snails in it. Always wanting to keep some CRS, I bought 10 pcs and introduced them in to my setup. BUTTTT all died within 5 days. Pls advise.

Should be Water parameter....have you check your water parameter before releasing your CRS....

And....if you are going to breed them....better not keep them with your neon tetra...cause it might be your neon tetra buffet treats...

Hi all, I did not check the water parameter. May I ask what is the ideal water parameter pls? Also I was told that no CO2 is required to keep CRS. Is it true? Thanks alot.

i am newbie to CRS too.. but temperature is another point to take note...

water perimeters is also important but i am only placing PH as the main issue currently..

as far as i know, CO2 is only if keeping plants.. correct me if i am wrong..

*cheers*

bro, u can find lots of info from >>> sticky.

and yes, like bro alvinchan80 had mentioned, CO2 is meant for plants but not fauna. CO2 = carbon dioxide. plants need it during daytime or when light is on.

hope the above helps.

Water Temp: 23~26 degree
pH: 6.2~6.8
kH: 1~2
gH: 4~6
Ammonia: 0

No Co2 required to keep the shrimp survive...Co2 is required for Aquatic Plants. You might want to inject Co2 in your tank if you keep Aquatic Plant that require Co2....but it will be at your own risk. Reason due is Co2 will bring down pH and increase pH when Co2 is off....the up & down fluctuation of pH might affect the shrimp.

Note:Some are dosing Co2 in CRS tank...and the shrimp is still happily surviving....

Hope this helps....
