Default CRS tank high ph

My CRS tank's ph is 7.5 I don't know what's wrong with it.
I set up this new tank two months ago. I use one bag of ADA soil I 9 liter. My tap water's ph is 7.5..It seems like the ada soil didn't lower m ph. my tank is 33.8 gallon. eheim pro II 2026 filter. 2x24 watt 10 hours per day.

anybody know what's the problem? I use to get a ph of 6.8 at the first few weeks, but now my ph stays at 7.5. I use tap water.

You can try to boil some dried ketepang leafs to remove the colouring effect. Then put these leafs into the tank for a few days and see if the ph drop.

If you adjust the kh, won't the ph changes too easily? My method is to raise kh then from there ph can be adjusted easily and won't change too easily even with water change.

Hi bro, am interested in this method. I never added ketaping cos I didn't like the coloring effect. Will boiling remove the colouring effect? Won't it remove the pH lowering effect as well?

thanks for all the information. I usually change water frequently at the first 3 weeks because of yellow water. However I still have yellow water now. I will try to add some ketepang leafs and see what happen. Anybody know where I can buy the ketepang leafs. I live in Los Angeles California.

Yes, boiling can remove alot of the colouration effect. Will not remove the ph lowering ability. The leafs actually rot in our tank in order to lower the ph further.
