How to control planaria in CRS tank?

Hi any brothers or sisters who can share some opinions?

I wouldn't say I have a lot of planaria in my tank, but it seems they are multiplying.

I just caught one white long worm.. it does not move but got a lot of planaria around it. I think it may be the planaria mom.

believe that this topic has been covered many times. some have torn down their tanks, some have used fish, while others have used chemicals. other than the drastic option of starting from scratch (which does not guarantee it's going to be planaria-free again), all other options seem to pose some kind of threat to your shrimp population. i prefer to use the safer method of controlled feeding and manual removal.

i go to some LFS ask the aunty i need to kill worm de then she gave me a blue bottle.. because it was a long time ago the paper on the bottle no more i dont know what name.. haha.. ops xP

Won't the chemical affect the shrimps?

pls try not to add in chemicals. I tried once and I think it wiped out 70% of my shrimps.

Most anti planaria/worm chemicals target invertebrates ie shrimps... Best not to use them, esp for sensitive shrimps like CRS....

While some smaller fish may help, I'd rather not risk my shrimps cos there's no guarantee they won't attack shrimplets.

I still prefer the manual removal method - its not 100% but I'd rather have a tank of live CRS and some planaria, compared to a planaria-free tank and dead CRS
