Question Giant Gourami size help?

Ok, I know there are 3 kinds of Giant Gouramis....

1.Red Tail Giant Gourami - though some of them don't have red tail they still are black/grey...

2.Black Eye Albino Giant Gourami

3. Red Eye Albino Giant Gourami

I do also know they can reach a good 2ft++...under proper diet and care...
I've tried searching all over the place for pictures of a good 2ft Giant Gourami(just to confirm their growth size capability...)...I manage to find 2ft Red Tail Giant Gourami and 2ft++ Black Eye Albino Giant Gourami quite easily..but I can't find a 2ft RED EYE ALBINO GIANT GOURAMI!......I begin to suspect their(RED EYE ALBINO GIANT GOURAMI) growth size......

SO I want to know can the RED EYE ALBINO GIANT GOURAMI GROW TO A GOOD 2FT?

HAS ANYONE SEEN IT?.......THANKS...ALL YOUR HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED..............

really? how old is it, I have a frend who has one of them(red eye type) its about 8 years old but really not that big (just 1ft). This is when I suspected their growth size.....

Can you post me a picture of it? I would really appreciate it....

My friend always feed it feeder fish or vegetable(mostly vegetable), so I think its diet is ok. He keeps it in a tank 4ft x 2ft x 2ft its about 100Gallons....runs on really powerful filtration....no live plants on 1 plastic plant and a driftwood...

If u have any idea why his red eye giant gourami is not 2ft yet in 8 years please let me know....I'm a really big fan of this fish!...thanks in advance..........

is that the reason its only 1ft in 8years?

His father used to have one about 2ft he kept it in a 80gallon tank, he caught it(natural black giant gourami) in a river and kept it in a small tank, later he bought the 80gallon tank and placed it in there. I mean it was kept since young(3") to 24" in that tank(80 gallon). But this was like in 1995 when aquarium prices were expensive!

He is collecting some cash to get a 200 gallon tank. Is it enough? plus his red eye is just about 1ft now....

i think it is common for giant gouramis to grow to beyond 24" given ample space. mine abt 22-24" in a 5x2x2.

its been with me since 2005, got it at abt 12", so i guess, age wise shld be well above 5-6 years.

i'm no expert in gouramis, but i think there may be several reasons why an albino giant gourami do not grow to as big as 2ft.

a pic of my RT gourami taken a couple of years back.
