Default Feeding CRS with spinach leaf

This is my first time feeding my CRS with spinach. I have some questions. anyone know long that I can put the spinach in my tank? or can I leave the spinach in my tank for over night? any comments would be appreciate!

Try not.. . i place it for just 1 to 2 hrs and remove after that..

I think if not eaten, it will rot and maybe foul the water?

Try to go for organic spinach as there might be pesticides or chemicals on those are not, boil for few minutes not too long and one or two hour in tank should be fine.
