Shrimp dangerous plants; anyone trim plants in shrimp tank?
Anyone knows what type of plants are dangerous to shrimps?
I only know of 3 types.. crypts, cryptocorynes, anubias Any others? Btw, any pros know if its advisable to trim plants in the aquarium with the shrimps inside? Does anyone do that? Any bros here having rooted plants in their shrimp tank? |

Oooohhh........... interesting topic... please shed some light.... I'm curious to find out too... care to explain how they are harmful to shrimps? would it be ok if you don't trim?

I remember that i read a topic that if you want to trim plant in shrimp tank you must not cut too much it not take out the plant to cut then rinse in water before put back into tank
Becos the plant will leak out those plant juice and too much will kill the shrimp What's that juice call suddenly have short term memory |

last time ppl say trim your crypts and ur crs will die due to the posion from the leaf or what..
but heck, i remember trimming a whole bunch of crypts in my 2ft CRS + cherry shrimp tank.. and nothing happened! |

i think is usually due to the sap that leak out when u cut some part of plant..
wait for the guru to come in to advice... |
