2)If they are the same species, different colours can breed. 3)If there are enough space, hiding place or food, there is a significantly lower chance of fighting. do take note their size difference too. 4) sorry, cant help you here 4) |

Agreed, if there is enough hiding spots (plenty of arranged driftwoods, caves) and enough food they won't fight too much. I used to have 3 different types in a 2ft tank and because the smallest one was a lot smaller than the largest one, I think it ended up being the giant's supper.

New sets of answers, only change to Q2.
1) not neccessarily, there is always a chance that they will fight, especially if there is not enough space/hiding place/food. However if they have enough space/hiding place/food, the chances of fighting will be greatly reduced. 2)Different species cannot breed. 3)If there are enough space, hiding place or food, there is a significantly lower chance of fighting. do take note their size difference too. 4) sorry, cant help you here |

Pls do a search (in the tool bar) for CPO, Crayfish, dwarf crayfish, etc. There are quite a few threads around that will be benefitual to read.
As shared by fellow bros, same spieces (tho different colors) can cross breed. Different species won't cross. Male and females can still fight. Space and hiding areas are important. These creatures are scanvagers. |

Indeed they are scavengers... but in order for them to get some food before my other fish get to them, I throw in about 3-4 of those super-huge wafers for plecos. They love it! Usually each cray will get 1 wafer and hoard it till happy. The other wafers will be brutally attacked by tankmates untill they can swallow it whole. And for some weird reason... my crays go gaga over the tiny breadcrumbs.
