For this to happen, the exportor has to know they are not salamander, the importor did not know they were importing non fish and the LFS are selling them as fish.... how could these happened so that they can be sold as fish to local hobbyists by mistake??

Just curious, when were the fire belly newts banned?

I still remember in 1998 or so, the zoo had this magazine called "zoo ed", and there was even an article on how to take care of them. Did the zoo know that they were illegal back then?

Or did they suddenly become illegal?

Just checked with AVA Fire Salamander is not allowed to be kept as pet. This is the reason when the TS first thread was deleted.

Tks!
When one's post is missing, think what can goes wrong, and if you make the same post again, it make the mods very busy and we will have to reciprocate with infraction.

Check AVA website for the list of pets can be kept in Singapore, discussion of all pets are allowed but when come to trading, only the legal species in the list are allowed.

This forum has zero tolerance to provide as a platform for trading animals that are not allow by AVA.

And whatever want to buy question, post it in the correct Buy/Sell forum.
