Auntie say vamp. crabs no need water de
I just brought two v. crabs from auntie
after my set up was done. So i ask auntie , need to have water she say no need ..hee back home , i placed both of them into my tank they dun even want to get inside water. only stay put on the land |

they need to keep their body moist. how do they do it without water? i still learning about crab.elelelel

mine always go into the water to have a walk. or stay arnd damp area.

Crabs breathe through gill chambers, without water they die... You can try not giving them water at all.
For Vampires, a small water container is enough, but if you have a few, it is better to provide a bigger tub of water for them. |

i have one third of the tank filled with water . when my vampire happy , they go inside to take a dip . haha .

From my experience you need to provide them water to keep them moist. They also need water to molt (I've got 2 successful molts and both inside water). Just make sure the ph of the water is not too low, they don't enjoy acidic water.
