Help!! [white crayfish starts jumping]

I am new in this forum.. Just started this hobby..

I jus brought a new white crayfish ytd!!! she was still ok ytd .. she suddenly start jumping backwards in the water.. and knock herself agaist the fish tank.. what should i do? need help!!

It's nothing Crayfish swims backwards when they get spooked!!! Let it get use to the new enviorment.

Do you hv hiding place in e tank for ur crayfish? Maybe off the lights n let it calm down, or cover some parts of e tank.

On the other hand, could it be that ur water is not ready thus sent the crayfish into shock? Did you cycle your tank properly? Or e crayfish is shocked to see u

ytd when is just in the water.. she still can walk around to explore.. shouldnt be the water.. today it jus keep jumping.. almost can jump out le.. my tank is 23 in(length) buy 9 in(depth) by 12 in(height).. the water is almost full de.. very hard to jump out de.. jus she like dying to get out...

am i suppose to take it out and put in the plastic container like the fish shop do?

I off the light already.. got hide out place.. she dun wan to hide.. jus walk around looking for things to let her climb out...

She didnt jump once.. keeping jumping non stop..

I guess not to worry too much.

As long as you follow the basic requirement of having fair water parameter, should be safe. It may want to explore, not used to the new home.

But do take note that crayfish, almost same as shrimps, have sickness that we can hardly notice.
