Help on lowering Ph
hi,
i started cycling a 1.5 ft tank 1 week ago for rearin crs i notice that my Ph level is constant at 7.2-7.3 i have no idea on how to lower my Ph to around 6.5. i using black angel soil. as i using a cannister,i dun wan to open it up again to add media to lower ph coz of the ehiem tube.there's once i nth to do i squezze the tube, omg white thingy clouded my tank. Also i dont wan to add chemical to lower the ph as this is only short time solution and i not sure shrimp and the BB will take it. So anyone can advise me on this problem?? Really need help alot. Maybe you could add in some limestones or driftwood. Btw the white thingy wun harm your shrimps and will be cleared pretty fast if your filter is running fine.

Hi, you may want to use ketapang leaves to lower ur PH, but it will turn ur water to tea colour. You can add driftwood to lower ur PH too.. You might want to check ur PH again after you have full cycled your tank as PH will still fluctuate during cycling. Another alternative is adding CO2 to ur tank to lower PH, but dont think CRS will like it.

can you tell me more about this gravel , coz this was given to me by my friend and he had used it for quite a few month.He told me not to buy and use this. |
