I normall don't change water, just top up as frequently as possible.
Maybe once in a long while, I siphon out 10% of water and top it up again. Becareful of large water change. LAtely heard that water from tap cused many deaths of aro and other fish. Half my population of cardinals died after water change. !! |

In the past, when Newater is still not in use period, the main harmful chemical in our tap water is Chlorine, hence we normal use anti-chlorine to get rid of it, or aged the water overnight.
But now, Newater is being added into our tap water, they added in Chlormide, which not all anti-chlorine are able to get rid of them. Therefore large WC will cause bigger harm to fishes now. Aging of water requires a longer time now too. Just be careful when doing WC, especially when you are keeping sensitive and expensive faunus like CRS. My 2cents. |

WC is not in my schedule routine.. i just top up the water.. about 10%-15% each week.. using straight tap water.. i add in "GENESIS" to remove both chlorine and chloramine.. so far no death.. and also i add in PSB bacteria after the top-up..
