yup, done b4 but on plastic tank

Bro Thunder,if you still love your tank, done ever ever HAND-DRILL your tank.VERY DANGEROUS!It will CRACK

1st-you done have diamond cutter.
2nd-you done have water-base coolant
3rd-are your hands steady enough to hold the hand-drill.?you need drill stand.
4rd-are your hand drill powerful enough?

Bro Yan, I've those electric driller la....just need to borrow the diamond drill bit then try try...cause now having a 3 tier tank set, wanted to do some overflow thing with continuous filtration.

Great tips for you bro. cement glassplate on the area that you going to drill.
HAD YOU EVER DRILLED A PLATE OF GLASS?
1-the glass will act as dummy.anything happen,hopefully the dummy glass will take it.
2-the edges of the hole will look better.no side chips.
3-high sspeed slow feeding during drilling.
4-use bee-wax or normal candle to cement the glasses.don't forget to heat the glassess before cement.make sure there are no air pocket.

cement a glass plate? you mean put a glass plate on top of the area I'm goign to drill a hole? hm....this DIY forum seems to be kinda inactive...

Yup bro, you need it. Due to vibration during feeding,it will coz ugly side chips on the hole.Once you got the drill bit, do a little training on a glassplate.
