the braces r a must not onli to marine tanks but also to freshwater tanks....
if there's no centre bracing, u will be bulging occuring for 3ft tanks n above... so u must hav the centre braces or euro braces

Depends on your tank size.

For tanks 4ft and above, you would want full bracings. Any bigger size, you may want glass-in-silicon for all edges too.

Salt watrer has higher density than freah water, hence the pressure acting on the glass is higher.

Hope above helps.

euro braces are those extra joins ontop of the tank.

Euro braces means extra strips of glass that's siliconed on 4 sides of the tank.
Sometimes, the tank also has it at the bottom sides.

For 3ft tank and above, it's safer to have euro braces and at least 10mm glass.

Braceless is not a problem as long as you compensate for the water presure. I am getting a baceless tank 120cm(L) x60cm(W) x 75cm(H), but the glass is 15mm thick & the price does go up.

all the tanks in the link below
http://www.aquaticquotient.com/phpBB...ht=transparent
The aquarium sizes in the link are,
• 90x45x60cm
• 120x45x60cm
• 180x60x60cm
• 180x120x60cm
• 350x70xx70cm

The person making my tank, I found in this form... he is called "Tank_Maker" and has impressed me so far.
