Try not to get the cheap ones from China , personally bought a AA one , design of waterproof casing is prone to leakage,and true enough it leaked and release oily substance into my tank...lucky nothing happen though..

Another brand by jebao (hangon type) also have a cap at both end not water proof , so can short circuit easily imo .

Go for the Western brands like CoralIfe Turbo Twist or UVC . Usually tubes used are 8W and above and you can find the replacement tube at LFS easily. Try not to buy China brand as their tube used is usually the 6W , 12W , funni wattages and local lfs don sell such replacement. U will have a hard time sourcing one in Singapore.
I am a victim of this.

Ever think of DIY ?

I was thinking using those clear plastic pipe, connect 2-4 together & use a pump to pump the water in, then put a UV bulb in the middle. The UV bulb can get from singter light, there is a 1ft version (18 Watt ) , should be less than $20.

something like this:
OO -- clear plastic pipe.
o ---> UV bulb.
OO -- clear plastic pipe.

Yes agree, coralife UV is good in preventing ich from spreading, Have been using it for past 6 months, no more Ich out break like the past, and even fishes prone to iches like BT did not kena ich anymore. And no sign of leakage of water/electricity.

the clear plastic pipe will absorb some of the UV ray............
in the commercial UV sterilizer, the glass is very thin........
best is allow the uv light to have direct contact with water...........
