Default L183 Starlight Bristlenose Pleco

Hi, I recently saw this mini pleco on sale at C328 for $14. Would like to ask a few questions

1. Anywhere else that sells such pleco at cheaper price?
2. What size does it grow up till? My tank is 10 gallon only.
3. I heard the optimum pH level is about 6-7.5. Can i keep it in pH 8?
4. Can i keep it in my planted shrimp tank? Will the pleco eat up the baby shrimplets and destroy my plants? Also, does the pleco have high bioload?
5. Do i need to supplement the diet of the pleco or is algae on plants and tank enough?

Thanks alot everyone

Most Lfs selling at about that price. As for the size im not too sure but was told by another pleco enthusiast at y618 that is a small size pleco, est about 4-5inch max. 10 gallon should be enough for a few (3-4) but depends on the filtration, plecos have high bioload. Keeping them with shrimps might pose a problem of not only bioload but also food meant for the shrimp might also be eaten by pleco, and pleco would defend its food from the shrimps ( in my experience) therefore not advisable. You will need to supplement their diet with algae wafers, cucumbers other vege as i feel sole diet on algae only is not fulfilling. Just my 2cents, happy plecoing
