Default Co2

I read on the internet tat its not compulsory to have CO2 in freshwater tank with plant.. So wat do you think guys..

without CO2 the plant will grow slower as compare to with CO2.you'll also have to see the types and requirement of that particular plant. e.g: glosso, it's a high requirement plant, it'll need good CO2 level, high light to carpet nicely if not it will just grow horizontal. there are low requirement plants too, like cryptocoryne species they can live and grow without CO2 and doesn't require high light. do more research regarding lights, CO2, fertilizer, soil and etc. these are the basic you should know before you setup a planted tank. and this will also save you costs and hassle.

there are two types of planted tank:
low tech which means low maintenance tank which doesn't need CO2
high tech which means high maintenance tank which need CO2 and high lighting.

most mosses do not need CO2.

but CO2 in a planted tank is a good to have. even those that does not need CO2 will grow faster and nicer
