How was the initial condition of your fire red when purchased?
srry it is a typo on my part, it is less than ph 6 for the api test kit.

i am not too sure about the initial condition as i bought it from uncle who used to own a store and is now running it at home.

would this conditions be ok for crs? other than coral chips what could i use to bring up the ph?

The other "natural" way is to add an air stone into the tank. Aerating the water increases the pH of your water.

hmm, my tank already have air stone inside, haven turn on co2 for over a month already.
