Default pH lvl affecting the color?

Hello to all Shifus

Had an enquiry to made. Had read that CRS need a pH value of 6.5 to 7.2 fm the sticky. Jus wanna chk that how would the pH value affect the color of the shrimps?

Had asked this questions as 1 of my buddies conducted a test on the pH effects on the shrimps. observed that the color starts to run when pH fluctuate. Jus to emphasize, my fren is no animal cruelty, neither is he a scientist wanna be, jus that he wants to test out the water and provide the best for his shrimps.

The following is what he tolds me
At pH 5.8, the body turn to a bit transparent.
when pH rch ard 6.0 to 6.2, the whiteness returns but is a faded shade of white.
The body turns full white when pH rch 6.5 to 6.7
But when rch pH 7, the white color although is veri solid, but the red component starts to run.

After hearing that, i paid more attention to my shrimps during the photo period. My tank had no CO2 but quite a number of moss and plants. For the past 3 days, during photo period(extended to 10hrs), i induced more surface agitation, together with the low CO2 during photo period, the pH hovers ard 6.5 to 6.6 and the color of the shrimps is veri white.
This morning, i switch off the lights and introduce CO2 tablets into the tank. All surface agitation is removed. pH lvl rch 6.2 before i left for work. When i came hm ard 6pm, the pH reads 6.1 and i can see that the shrimps body is not as white as they shd be.

Jus wanna check, does anyone share the same infos as me and my friend.

All my shrimps are kept at PH 5.8 but so far so good. Higher PH and GH will give better color.

Bro at the ph and your shrimp are still having good colour mean those are very pure and high qty one leh hahahahaha anyway your shrimp all high quality de

To answer TS yes if i m not wrong Ph does affect the colour i have experience with my reset up. Ph is 5.8 some of them still maintain the colour some become transparent. Currently on the resetting of my previous tank with benibachi soil all this shrimp that didn't make it with nice colouration shown at ph 5.8 will be move to that tank. Actually i have like 60 pcs in there but only have 10+ pcs that can still maintain their thick colouration at ph 5.8-5.9. The rest of the 50+ pcs all look sorta of transparent. That is my finding pls master correct it if this assumption is wrong.

I just realize last night, my crs at 22deg celsius showed good thick white and red. But not moving much as compared at 27deg with transparent white and light red. I know the change in temp is alot but its due to my air con at night... And the temp is raised gradually over many many hrs. 1hr down by 0.5-1.0.. Is it still too fast?
