Hi bro i've just been wham on the face by someone telling me that with his experiences and reading we are keeping our Sulawesi in sorta of wrong parameter............ The person mention that they should be kept at softer water.... I keep wondering with all the rocks and stone how to get softer water? Next he mention those lake and that sulawesi come from have softer water but i've read otherwise.... Anyway no alot of detail on them most of finding is wild catch from the lake. What i want are people whom get from their country lfs or oversea lfs that have been breed in captivity how are the breeding process. So far not much info on this.

Avex - http://planetinverts.com/sulawesi_expedition.html This is an article on where the shrimps were collected from. I watched many videos on youtube read a lot on the parameter and stuff from other forums and many if not all agreed with them living in harder water with ph 7~8... I just bought 3 white orchids and they are doing fine now, yours seems to be breeding just fine too so i dont think we should change. Just my opinion (:. |

Hi Bro Rico B, for planted tank, I suggest you clear the front area in a "C" shape, drop your food at this empty/clear space, you will be to enjoy seeing all the shrimps coming out hunting for food. Just in case, if the mana give birth and space is a constrain, you can catch them at these empty/clear space, while they hunt for food.
By then, pass some to me. ha.... |

@Bro Avex No worries, we are all learning and sooner or later, we can work out something. Let them say ba, we respect can liao. Shrimps are all meant to be wild till captive-bred and I believe the environment they are born in will allow them adapt to survive. hehe hope one of us gets the cardinals breeding then can share share exp.
@Bro Kai Hehe, i am guessing it's parasites as well, guess i fed too much. I was thinking molting problems too as some of them got like a crack at the end of the head carapace then they die liao. Strange. Same, my shrimps are happy in the current setting, not going to change too. They started taking in mosura CRS speciality as well. Damn happy, guess my "once a week" feeding works. They love curly leaves btw, they love picking off algae upside down hanging from the roots at night. @Bro FanA Hehe, told that to my CO, but she love the fore ground plants. Sigh no choice, They love planted tanks btw, can see them picking dead leaves, swimming through the leaves... Definitely since ya the first to bless me with "mamas", ON ah! |

Rico B - well said, shrimps although small deserve respect and our fullest attention . One of my cardinals looks fat but on closer look is not berried . Hopefully soon it will happen .
