Default My black neon tetra keep rubbing against my tank...me newbie..how to handle??

hi all..

I need help.. 1st time keeping fishes..and i spotted one of my black neon look different from the rest and it behaving differently..

The top portion , above a silver lining across its body, is red and it keep rubbing itself against the side / bottom of the tank..

It is eating normally..but i am still concern...

So far only one black neon is behaving like that.

I have cardinal, black neon, cherry barb and albino glowlight in my tank..

Please help..

Is it still alive? Should be okay... the red mark still there?

look closely at the fish....does it have the following

1. white spots, on small fish can be really small
2. short white threads, super thin and prob 2mm to 10mm long
3. blind eye (1 side) so he cannot see that he is swimming so near the wall
4. broken tail or scales...kenna attack till not joining the crowd.

IMHO, I would move him to a hospital tank, treat with salt and anti fungus for a few days just in case....

it's likely to be inch.

try partial water change of around 25% and add ketapang extract.

if it's ich change 20% of your water everyday and add in copper safe. It's a medication thats very effective when used to treat ich. Hope this helps

It's itch. Increase your temperature for about 3 days to break the free borne parasites 7 days incubation period.
Or you can also separate the fish and treat with itch solution commonly available in lfs.
