Starting a paludarium
I'm planning on starting a paludarium in my room (airconditioned, switched on close to 10hrs/day)
Any experienced paludarium owners know if it will be an issue? temperature fluctuation etc wise. Will the paludarium give off a strong damp stench? Planning to keep crabs btw Thanks! |

I think the smell wont be that strong as I used to keep a rainbow crab in a 1ft tank without a filter. You cant really smell the stench unless you had your face directly smelling the tank but what I suggest would be try to open your windows as well haha for better air circulation maybe just in day time?

By the way, if you want to minimize stenches, you might want to consider adding a filter system, like say adding an internal filter which has a small rainbar to spray water or if you are running a bigger tank, you can get a external canister with a rainbar =)
