Default Is Gex Green packaging soil finer than the Red?

I recently got a Gex green soil from C328 and it is more coarse than Red packing type but one of the day, i drop by CRS Haven, i saw this green packing is actually more fine than the Red.
Any idea how come they are different? Is finer soil better for CRS and Cherries or vice versa?

AFAIK, there is light green, red and dark green packaging

dark green packaging has smallest grain size, light green has largest grain size and red is in between the dark green and light green.

regarding grain size, i'm guessing that planting plants with fine roots will be easier in finer grain size soil.

The size of the grains will be important if you are going to plant plants liked hairgrass.

For rearing of shrimps, dont think it is an important factor to consider
