Hi Bro,

Aquarium salt is not recommended for shrimps, and cherry shrimp is not a fussy eater.

Furthermore you may want to venture into other shrimps in the future, and you will have headache because of the salt in the tank.

Any hikari or mosura shrimp food and they will "chiong" for it.

dont worry. Tetra is ok as a water conditioner. More popular water conditioner here are seachem prime.

No worries for cover eventhough your using hang-on filter. But just be more careful that shrimps might crawl out of tank if water level too high.

It really depends on how/where you placed your hang-on filter. How much current is much to you and to us?? As long as your cherries don't feel any turbulence in your tank then its ok. Check your shrimps whether they have difficulties swimming. Currents are good as it repels any mosquitoes breeding and seed shrimps will not surfaced at the top. Protein skimmer will not be a problem to you too.

please be more worried about the HOF inlet.
tie them with nettings or sponge(if suction is too strong).
this is to prevent shrimps and shrimplets getting killed by the evil filter.

of course please remember to cycle your tank before you introduce any shrimps.
else your shrimps shouldnt make it for the week.

just a suggestion, you should start with little shrimps. probablly 15~20 in a 2ft tank.
you'll be suprised how fast they grow in a tank of such size with little shrimps. they'll get berried in no time.
rather then to start with a 100 and breeding/growth goes slow.

and u should really start with super red ones (if you like the redness). else down the generation not all will be red =( (like mine)

depends on what does nutrafin cycle contain.
even so i wouldnt recommand.
cycling process is only done once.
read the link i give to you.

do it once, do it right.
then you wont have to revamp your tank or clean up dead shrimps.
shrimping isnt about hurrying.
it takes time.

hope this helps.
