Snow White didn't go far, as it is not supported by famous breeders, these famous breeders consider use of golden or snow to be unorthodox and shortcutting for pattern development.

However, snow white or golden CRS appears as offspring the breeding stock grade gets better, one can get some golden CRS from the offsprings of hino or mosura, you won't be able to tell whether it is purposely crossing or due to "blood to thick" by now. The chances of golden CRS appear is higher in higher grade ends. Another group of breeder is profiting from golden CRS crossing with CRS to make better pattern CRS. The general consensus is color of offsprings is not as good as those without crossing. I did a survey in my blog:

From your experience, what you think of red bee shrimps which have golden/snow white genes?

A) On the whole, most of their color is not as superior as pure strain Red Bee Shrimp. = 76.5% chose this.

B) On the whole, most of their color is as superior as pure strain Red Bee Shrimp. = 23.5% chose this.

Pro breeders knew this fact long ago, and they knew that Pattern Line develop will come to and end when there is little red left on a CRS. Some has foreseen the need to develop color and do not place emphasis on pattern. As early as 5 years ago, some has picked the best color pieces to breed together (no matter what pattern or grade) while they have tanks to breed for best pattern.

The color line development were using only red CRS to breed and thus this line can be called Pure Red Line. Coincidentally or not, the color line development tank has not bring out golden CRS but pattern development tank is able to breed out golden crs, without intended introduction of golden genes.

Pure Red Line is able to breed out a much higher percentage of deep red CRS, their pattern is not as great as the pattern (normal one) line. Hence for the same pattern, a PRL CRS price is about 5X the normal line CRS.

A famous Hakata PRL breeder, you can consider him as the forefather of PRL, when other are pursuing the pattern, he has developed his own deep red line. Not too long ago, mosura with crown pattern (if i dont remmeber the pattern wrongly) was sold at $S3500 and a hinomaru at $S1000+, all the currency units are in Singapore dollars, not yen. You can see how well PRL is received in Japan. Same situation in Taiwan, among the pro breeders, the color camp has beat the patten camp. But there are still large number of breeders in Japan and Taiwan mass breeding with pattern line, some find it hard to switch, as pattern line require a bit more skills to keep them and right now is expensive to afford.

Now color and genes dominate the pattern.
Very good info there.

Thanks for sharing.
