Chiller advise needed for 4 ft tank
Hi guys,
Need some advise here. I am setting up a 4 ft tank and thinking of buying a artica chiller. What model is suitable? I see the specs of Artica DB075. With only 1/10 HP it states it can support 490L of water is this correct? |

What chiller to use for 4 ft?
I feel like Tim Allen whenever I discuss about chillers.
Go for More power! You won't regret it. From my own painful personal experience, I bought an affordable chiller ($450) from China, designed for a 2 feet tank. Naturally it under performed and the tank was not cool enough. Then I discussed this with other pros in the business and they siad that you should buy the next size to "play safe". I then had to fork out $1000 for something more powerful. In the end, I had to spend the money anyway. Who knows, a few months down the road, you may decide to upgrade to a 6 ft tank etc. In this hobby. Money talks. My 2 cents ; ) |

I use to run an DBM250 on my old 4x2x2.5 and i think it better to get a bigger HP not forgeting the heat load from ur lighting and pumps.
