I think no matter what, the temp will always be lower if the fans are on. But I guess it's alright to turn the fans off at night if it's cool, like the last few days. I'll probably still keep them on if it's a hot night.

The fans will probably last a reasonable amount of time even if we leave them on 24/7. If they spoil, just buy new ones to replace. Might be harder if you're using those ready-made ones from the LFS. wow.ok ..so 2 degrees.. difference.

i am using one fan for my 2ft. bought it from NA. i on it 24/7. due to the cooling ambient temprature that we are having, my tank now have a temp of 22deg but it reach a record yesterday noon.. a never before which is at 21deg !! took a pic to prove my claim

wow..great.. ideal temp for CRs. my usual is 23 to 24degrees only.. haha.but when i on air con will be 21 to 22 degrees

Anyway guys, the temp given by the probes, just agar agar can liao. Not 100% accurate. It's useless for us to compare with one another. Mostly for yourself to judge/track the changes in temp.

For example, I have 2 exact same probes, they report temps with 0.5-1.0 degree difference when placed together.
