Default Help on rio 32

Dear all, i have a rio 32 pump for my return. But it is awful nosiy, i really wonder wat have went rwrong. was rio 32 suppose to be very noise?? thanks a lot.

I am using 20HF, no sound at all.
Yours could be a faulty pump.

me just installed 20hf and also sounds good. - no noise lar... ask for warranty!! Understand it has 1yr warranty.

i use 20 before and it is quiet, din know tat 32 is so loud.. haizzz

take out the impeller and loosen things alittle. That fixed my 20HF today

Try put a sponge below the pump it will helps.

hi,
certain pumps if used to push against too much resistance can be noisy. what are you using the 32HF for?
using the suction cups to hold it firmly against the base of the sump may help.....

Yes experienced the same thing. 32HF is noisy, may change to eheim.
(used it as return pump)

Just fixed my problem with what bara said. It work .... now silent as new and notice the flow are stronger too..
