For shrimp rearing, you have to learn from the very basic of keeping the water parameter stable before getting them to breed. Learn from mistake and remember to read through other journals or infomations.

Good luck and prosper~

As bro eviltrain says use DISTILLED water to lower the GH. Also because your tank is so small, try to do the changes gradually to prevent more deaths.

What else have you got in your tank? Possibly anything that could be raising the GH? A picture would be nice too.

Yesh, use distilled water, not mineral water. Alot of people still cannot differentiate.

Distilled water - water collected from evaporated vapor. therefore its 99-100% pure H2O. But its better to used for tanks with high GH problem. add slowly ( example.. drip method ) in order not to stress the shrimps.

Mineral water - water collected from underground / spring. there is mineral in the water. therefore adding more mineral water will increase GH/ KH instead.

Question

Hi,

The new readings are,

Ph = 6.8
Gh = 6
Kh = 3
NH3/NH4 = 0
NO2 = 0
NO3 = Pending, getting a new test kit.
Temp= 24 to 26 Degrees C

This is the uploaded photos for more information.

So until you settle your water parameters, I think it is not fair to blame the Mosura products that you have been using.

The Eros, I believe is meant to encourage breeding in stable established tanks. As for the Gravidas, it is added as supplementary food, not as a water change product.

Many of us have used Mosura products without incident for a long time.

is your rocks inert? if they are not, they will contribute the rise of the gH in your tank.

ways to test it- take the rock out , dry them and drip those artifical vingear on the rock. if there's any fizzle on the rock, it rock is reactive to acid. therefore, non inert.

Noted. Thank you for all your advises I have to agree with your point on this. It should be my water parameters that i should work on now.

Don't look quite right meaning,

1. The reading is not logical

2. It should not be at this level.

Pls advise thanks~!
