Questions on reactor...
Hi folks, i have questions regarding usage of reactors...
As a picture says a thousand words, hereby is a masterpiece by me... My question is... (1) Can my reactor be half way above the water level as shown in the picture above? (2) I am using a dolphin C700 canister... Does the outlet of my canister fit into the inlet of the reactor? Thanx folks... Please help... |

The common problem with taking your reactor out of water is that the water level in it drops, causing an air pocket, so you're pretty much dissolving air along withyour Co2.
But if you can maintain a 100% airtight situation i think it might just work. Cheers, Jerome |

I agree with Jerome there. But in any case if you were to make yr reactor air tight, might as well go all the way and make it an external reactor =) just a tot =)

hmm...
the problem now is that my water outlet is hitting onto the water surface. I have lowered the flow to minimise the amt of air being dissolve into the water. Ok, i shall go to see whats the price of a external reactor. Thanx folks... |

Question here. So is the water output from the filter supposed to go to the top of the reactor or the bottom of the reactor? I am confused.
